It’s been way too long since I’ve made a high and low home décor comparison list on my site. Sometimes when you’re shopping for a particular item, it’s easy to overlook all the other options – you just want THAT item. In my opinion, there is a time to save and a time to splurge, and if you’re intentional about it you can get gorgeous home décor for the budget that fits you best. In honor of summer, let’s talk outdoor décor…
The patio set. Ikea’s Askholmen set of table + two chairs is perfect for those who love West Elm’s style but find it a little pricey. But if you want a higher quality piece to be the focal point of your patio or small space, the West Elm Jardin Bistro Set just might be your investment piece.
The lounge furniture. Target’s Threshold line of furniture and décor is an excellent option for furnishing on a budget. The swivel club chair looks high end but is offered at $100 less than this similar chair from Macy’s. They are different styles, however, so it’s really about seeing which piece works best with your other décor. Luckily, the less spendy version comes in a variety of shades.
The lantern lights. Lanterns are a staple in outdoor entertaining, and luckily most of them are in the $20-$30 price range. By scouting out deals on Amazon, you can find lighting like this garden lantern for less than $15 though! But if you can’t get your mind off a more unique design like the Crosby lantern from Crate & Barrel, you’ll get a price tag to match. The fact that the C&B lantern is much larger and can accommodate more candle sizes might make this one worth it.
The statement planter. Planters are for sale in just about every store, but they’re not to be overlooked! This is a great way to get a useful piece of ceramic art that you’ll love to have around when hosting friends and fam all summer long. Handcrafted embossed planters from CB2 make a statement without totally breaking the bank, while the amazing modern Bullet Planter from Design Within Reach requires more consideration. With each, you can guarantee that not everyone will have these unique designs.
